1) What are the staffing ratios? Answer: Staffing ratios depend upon the need of residents and we can assure you they are met and attended. 2) What is your staff turnover? Answer: We have dedicated staff that are well managed and compensated for. 3) How long do nurses and aides spend with residents each day? Answer: Pretty much around the clock. Their schedules are 7 AM to 3 PM then from 3 PM to 11 PM then from 11 PM to 7 AM. 4) Which services do you offer? Answer: Click here. 5) How do you prevent pressure sores? Answer: We make sure that they are kept clean at all times and turned every 2 hours as needed so that they are comfortable. 6) How does your facility avoid infections? Answer: We emphasize the use of universal precautions which are the washing of hands before and after meals and proper use of washroom/restroom. 7) Do you provide special care for people with dementia? Answer: We do provide special care for people with dementia. Our staff do undergo special training in order to provide the best quality care to the needs of our residents. 8) How do you promote diversity so all residents feel comfortable? Answer: Our facility does not discriminate against sex, race, color, religion, national origin, marital status, registered domestic status, ancestry, or actual or perceived gender identity. 9) What about mood-altering medication? Answer: We only give medications that are prescribed by a physician and this includes PRN medications. 10) What kind of food do you serve? Answer: We provide three meals a day and snacks in between. Residents can request food they want to eat in moderation, of course, and we will even go extra mile by providing them their favorite dish, at least, once a month. 11) Do you accommodate special diets? Answer: Of course, especially when it is prescribed. In addition, vegetables and fruits will always be included in their meals. 12) Can residents eat when they want? Answer: Residents can eat or ask for snacks anytime as long as their diet is not restricted due to carbohydrates or sodium or cholesterol control or any combination of such. 13) What about activities? How do you keep residents engaged? Answer: We have planned activities such as exercising, walk in the park, zumba dancing for those who are able, board games, bingos, etcetera. They can also participate in the nearby Senior Care Center activities. 14) Is reliable transportation available? Answer: Our facility has at least one reliable transportation at all times should there be a need for it. 15) Can residents easily spend time outdoors and/or with their families? Answer: We do allow our residents to spend time with their family as long as they check-out and check-in and their companions check-in and check-out as required by our policy.
