Our philosophy and mission
Our mission is to provide care and supervision to residents in a manner that respects personal rights, promotes independence and quality of life, and fosters healthy and safe living conditions. In doin this we hope to enhance resident physical and mental wellness and enable residents to age in place with a high degree of quality of life. We achieve our facility mission through the following:
- Placing a high value on customer service and communication with residents and families. Staff communication in a polite, courteous, and gentle manner with all residents, family members, and ancillary agency representatives involved in the facility.
- Ensuring that staff training requirements meet or exceed industry standards and state requirements to ensure they are knowledgeable in the areas impacting resident care and familiar with individual resident needs.
- Ensuring that staffing ratios are appropriate to the level of care of residents.
- Ensuring that an activity program is in place and that activities are individualized to resident interests and appropriate for their physical/mental condition, level of participation and social preferences.
- Ensuring that facility staff meet on a minimum monthly basis to discuss resident needs and any potential changes in condition.
- Ensuring that the facility’s food service and dining program meets or exceeds industry standards and state regulations and offers a home-like dining atmosphere, considerate of individual resident’s likes and preferences.
- Ensuring that the facility external facade and internal decor is aesthetically comforting, home-like, and free from hazards. The facility offers on-site tours by appointment and prospective residents and/or family members are encouraged to visit the facility prior to admission.
